Ramadan timetables, prayer time cards, appeal leaflets and madrasah flyers for mosques and Islamic centres
Mosques print more in the weeks before Ramadan than the rest of the year together: A4 and A5 Ramadan timetables on card, often sponsored by local businesses, then Eid prayer notices, Zakat and building appeal leaflets and Gift Aid forms. Below are the products we would print, live prices, ready-made packs, sample layouts, wording, the print calendar through the year and the charity points to check.
A mosque's printed timetable is one of the most kept pieces of print in any community: it goes on the fridge for a month and gets checked every day. Around it sit the notices, appeals and invitations that keep a congregation informed and let neighbours know they are welcome.
Ramadan timetables
Sehri (suhoor) and iftar times and the five daily prayers for every day of the month, usually on A4 or A5 card, with Taraweeh, Laylat al-Qadr nights and Eid prayer times. Handed out after Jumu'ah and delivered to homes.
Annual prayer time cards
A card or folded leaflet with monthly prayer start and jamaat times for the year, or for the next three to six months, updated when the clocks change.
Eid notices
Times and venues for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha prayers, with parking arrangements and extra jamaats if the hall will be full.
Zakat, Sadaqah and building appeals
A folded leaflet explaining the project or the fund, how money is used, the amount needed and how to give, with a Gift Aid declaration for eligible donors.
Madrasah and classes
Flyers for evening and weekend Qur'an and Islamic studies classes, with ages, times, fees and safeguarding information for parents.
Open days and community events
Invitations for neighbours to visit, interfaith events, iftars open to the community, health checks, food bank drives and youth sports.
Janazah and nikah information
Cards explaining what to do when someone dies, who to call, and how the mosque helps with funeral arrangements, and information for couples planning a nikah.
Recommended leaflets for mosques
What we would print for a mosque or Islamic centre. The 'from' price is live for the lowest-cost options; the example line is a typical order.
A full month of sehri, iftar and prayer times needs A4 to stay readable. Card stands up on a fridge or table for thirty days; the back carries sponsors, Eid times and appeals.
Class times, ages, fees and enrolment on one side, safeguarding and contact details on the other. Silk paper keeps text sharp and reads well under hall lighting.
Each pack is real products and quantities, priced live and added together. There is no pack price or saving: you pay what the lines cost on their own, and one delivery charge covers the basket.

Front: the full 30-day table with sehri and iftar in bold columns, then the five jamaat times. Use at least 9 point for the table so older eyes can read it.
Back: Eid times, giving information and a sponsor panel. Sponsors often cover most of the print cost.
Check every time against your committee's agreed calculation before sending artwork; one wrong digit is printed 2,500 times.
Mosque print is read by several generations, sometimes in more than one language. Keep English simple, put times in large clear figures, and if you add Urdu, Bengali, Arabic or Somali, give each language its own space rather than squeezing it in. Replace the bracketed parts.

Calls to action
Collect your timetable after Jumu'ah
Give at the office, by transfer or online
Call [number] to enrol for September
Have two people check every prayer time against the agreed calculation before you send artwork.
If businesses sponsor the timetable, agree what they can say in their panel and keep it modest; it sits on families' fridges for a month.
Get written parental consent before printing photographs of children from the madrasah or events.
When, where and how many
A mosque's print calendar follows the Islamic year, which moves about eleven days earlier each year in the Gregorian calendar. Plan from the expected start of Ramadan backwards.
For 2027, Ramadan is expected to start in early February, so timetables are designed in December and printed in January. Each year the peak moves about eleven days earlier. Eid al-Adha, new madrasah terms and open days fill the rest of the year.
When to print
Ramadan timetables four weeks before the expected first day, once the committee has agreed times and sponsors. Eid notices in the last ten days of Ramadan. Madrasah flyers a month before each term. Appeals whenever the committee launches them, often during Ramadan. Allow the Saver working days on the product page plus delivery.
How many
A rule of thumb for timetables is one per household in the congregation plus extra for local shops, workplaces and neighbours; many mosques print 2,500 to 10,000. Pocket cards in similar numbers. Appeal leaflets roughly the Friday attendance.
Where
After Jumu'ah and Taraweeh, through local halal shops, butchers, pharmacies and restaurants that agree to stock them, and door to door in nearby streets. Madrasah flyers to parents at the mosque and, with permission, through community noticeboards.
What response to expect
Timetables are not about response rates: they are used every day of the month by nearly everyone who takes one. Appeal leaflets do best when they report progress and show exactly how money is used; regular updates bring repeat giving through the year.
Paper, size and finish for mosques

Before you print: rules for mosques
Most mosques are charities, and much of their print asks for money. These are the points we see mosques check most; your trustees, the Charity Commission or OSCR can confirm what applies.
Registered charity statement
In England and Wales, a registered charity with gross income over £10,000 in its last financial year must state that it is a registered charity on notices, adverts and documents asking for money, including appeal leaflets and timetables carrying an appeal.
Money given in response to an appeal for a stated purpose, such as a building, is usually restricted to that purpose. Say on the leaflet what will happen if the appeal raises more than needed or does not reach its target.
Printed Gift Aid forms must include the information HMRC requires, including the donor's full name, home address and a statement that they must pay enough tax to cover the claim. Use HMRC's model declaration.
Appeal wording should be honest and not put undue pressure on donors. The Code of Fundraising Practice applies to charities fundraising from the public.
This is general guidance from a printer, not legal advice. Check with your trustees or the charity regulator.
Questions about leaflets for mosques
What size should a Ramadan timetable be?
A4 is the most common: it holds all 30 days with sehri, iftar and five prayer times in readable columns. A5 works if you only show sehri and iftar. Print on 350gsm card so it stands up on a fridge or table for the month, and add A6 pocket cards for work and travel.
How early should we order Ramadan timetables?
About four weeks before the expected first day of Ramadan, once the committee has agreed the times and any sponsors. That leaves time for proofreading, printing and handing them out at the last Jumu'ah prayers before Ramadan. Ramadan moves about eleven days earlier each year.
Can local businesses sponsor our timetable?
Yes, many mosques cover printing costs with sponsor panels on the back. Agree the size and wording with each sponsor, keep the panels modest and make sure prayer times remain the main content. Sponsorship income should go through the mosque's accounts like any other income.
Do mosque appeal leaflets need a charity number?
If the mosque is a registered charity in England and Wales with income over £10,000, it must state that it is a registered charity on documents asking for money. Showing the registration number as well is common practice and helps donors check the charity.
What should a mosque building appeal leaflet include?
What you are building and why, the total cost, how much is raised and pledged, how donations will be used, what happens to any surplus, ways to give, a Gift Aid declaration and the charity details. Progress updates on later leaflets encourage repeat giving.
Can you print timetables with Arabic, Urdu or Bengali?
Yes, we print whatever is in your artwork. Supply a PDF with fonts embedded or text outlined so the script shapes correctly. Our automatic check covers size, bleed and resolution, not language, so have a fluent reader proof every line before you order.
Can you design our Ramadan timetable?
Yes. Send the agreed times, sponsor logos and text through our Artwork and Design Service. Every upload is checked automatically for size, bleed and resolution, and File check (£4.99) adds a person reviewing your file before printing. You approve the final proof before we print.
